The school established the Scientific Innovation Experimental Center for Grasslands Human Settlements, which integrates innovative teams and experimental platforms. The center includes talent teams such as the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Grasslands Human Settlements Science and Technology Innovation Team, the Inner Mongolia Green Building Research and Practice Innovation Team, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Regional Ecological Architecture Science and Technology Innovation Team, along with 10 college-affiliated research institutes. The experimental platform, based on the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Key Laboratory of Grasslands Human Settlements Systems and Low-carbon Construction Technology, features three sub-platforms—Modeling & Digital Construction, Microclimate & Building Physics, and Virtual Simulation & Environmental Behavior—focusing on "intelligent," "low-carbon," and "digital" development respectively, encompassing 15 specialized laboratories.
