Introduction to the Institute

The Inner Mongolia Residential Research Institute was established in 2009 and currently has a core academic team of five members, including two professors, one senior engineer, and two lecturers. Its main research areas cover architectural design and theory, regional housing and Inner Mongolian dwellings, healthcare architecture, and urban design.

Over the past five years, the team has led or participated in five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one major science and technology project in Inner Mongolia, five projects funded by the Inner Mongolia Natural Science Foundation, and one educational reform project of the autonomous region, and has received more than ten provincial/ministerial-level research awards. Team members also hold academic positions in organizations such as the Cold Region Building Committee of the Architectural Society of China, the Expert Technical Committee of the Inner Mongolia engineering Survey and Design Industry, and the Inner Mongolia Society for National Architecture Institute of Inner Mongolia.
