Introduction to the Institute
The institute is distinguished by its interdisciplinary approach, focusing on four key domains: Urban Renewal, Community Governance, Ecological Spatial Planning, and Heritage Conservation. Its research spans core cultural and geographical areas within Inner Mongolia, including grassland settlements, the Ancient Tea Road, the Yellow River Basin, and desertification-prone regions. This work has formed four research directions: Renewal and Governance of Multi-ethnic Communities, Evolution of Settlements in the Middle Yellow River Reaches, Ecological Spatial Planning, and Conservation of Frontier Heritage.
