Introduction to the Institute

Established in 2024, the institute of Digital and Intelligent Design in Human Settlements and Heritage Conservation currently comprises 7 members. Among them is one recipient of the “Inner Mongolia 321 Talent” project, five hold senior professional titles, and two hold doctoral degrees—one of whom earned their PhD abroad. To date, the institute has supervised nearly 20 postgraduate students and one doctoral candidate. Its educational and research agenda is sharply focused on investigating the regional cultural characteristics of grasslands human settlements. Leveraging the multidisciplinary strengths of its host college and aligning with national strategic needs, the institute serves as a key scientific research platform dedicated to the preservation and transmission of human settlements cultural heritage.

In terms of social practice achievements, the “AR Tourism Interactive Product: Discovering the Beauty of Productive Landscapes in Rural Areas” has been applied at the Hulunbuir Museum and tourist attractions, and promoted across platforms such as People’s Daily Online, the Inner Mongolia Government Website, and the National Cultural Cloud. Additionally, the “Special Plan for Urban Color in Hohhot” has been adopted and implemented by the government, contributing to high-quality urban development.
