Department Chair of the School of Architecture and Design, Kyrgyz State Technical University to Our School and Signing of Cooperation Memorandum

From November 16 to 22, 2025, the School of Architecture of Inner Mongolia University of Technology welcomed a delegation led by Professor Kozhobaeva Saltanat, Dean of the School of Architecture and Design, Kyrgyz State Technical University, and Professor Kojaliev Akylbek, Chair of the Department of Architectural Environment Design, for a one-week academic exchange and cooperation discussions.

On the afternoon of November 17, Professor Kojaliev Akylbek delivered an academic report entitled "The History of Residential Architecture Development in Kyrgyzstan: From Ancient Times to the Present" at the Architecture Museum, systematically sorting out the evolutionary course of residential architecture in Kyrgyzstan. Professor Kozhobaeva Saltanat also gave a special sharing on "The Development Course of Residential Architecture in Kyrgyzstan", putting forward a number of enlightening research perspectives combined with the development of residential architecture in Kyrgyzstan from ancient times to the present.

During the visit, the two sides held an official meeting on the morning of November 20, conducting in-depth discussions on issues such as the joint establishment of the "Eurasian Steppe Belt Joint Laboratory", mutual visits of teachers and students, and scientific research cooperation. Professor Xu Guoqiang, Dean of the School of Architecture of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, and Professor Kozhobaeva Saltanat, Dean of the School of Architecture and Design of Kyrgyz State Technical University, jointly signed a cooperation memorandum, marking that the cooperation between the two universities in the field of architecture and design has entered a new stage.

During the visit, the foreign guests also visited a number of regional characteristic architectural cases designed by Professor Zhang Pengju of our university, such as the Xiwusu Tu Village Center and the renovation of the Architecture Museum of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, gaining an in-depth understanding of Inner Mongolia's achievements in traditional architectural protection and modern architectural innovation.

This visit not only deepened the academic ties between the School of Architecture of Inner Mongolia University of Technology and universities in Central Asia, but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two sides in fields such as steppe architecture research, heritage protection, and sustainable development.
