On April 20, 2023, Vice-Chancellor Zhu Wei and his two-member delegation from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UK) paid an exchange visit to the School of Architecture. Ma Jun, Dean of the School of International Education, Si Qin, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, Xu Guoqiang, Executive Dean of the School of Architecture, Hao Zhanguo, Vice Dean of the School of Architecture, and other representatives accompanied the visitors on a tour and held discussions with them.
During the discussion, both sides introduced the basic overview of disciplines and majors related to architecture and art, conducted in-depth exchanges on major setup and research directions, and reached cooperation intentions in areas including undergraduate student exchanges, undergraduate-to-master’s degree programs, master’s-to-doctoral degree programs, and faculty exchanges.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David was established on November 18, 2010, through the merger of three institutions under the Royal Charter of 1828 granted to Lampeter College, namely, Lampeter College, University of Wales (founded in 1822), Trinity College Carmarthen (founded in 1848), and the former Swansea Metropolitan University (founded in 1853). This exchange has enhanced mutual understanding between the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and the School of Architecture, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, deepened their cooperative ties, and laid a solid foundation for further collaboration.
