From March 1st to March 5th, 2026, at the invitation of the Architecture and Civil Engineering University of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, Liu Jingshun, the director of the Science and Technology Department of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, Xu Guoqiang, the dean of the School of Architecture, and representatives of doctoral and master's degree students of the university went to Uzbekistan for an exchange visit and carried out research and practical activities.
During the event, the delegation held a discussion with the international exchange director and the head of the architecture department of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Both sides exchanged opinions on matters such as joint laboratories, academic conferences, and design workshops, and reached several consensuses. The delegation visited the laboratories of Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, observed design courses, and conducted on-site inspections with representatives of the local teachers and students of the university on representative historical buildings, traditional dwellings, and urban blocks in Tashkent. They gained a detailed understanding of the practical experience of Tashkent in urban planning, historical heritage protection, and urban renewal. During the research process, the teachers from both sides conducted on-site exchanges on topics such as urban sustainable development and the inheritance of regional architectural culture, and had in-depth discussions on graduate research topics and research methods.
This visit has achieved fruitful results, strengthening the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, joint research, and student exchanges.
